Happy Friday Park Hill Families:

I hope this message finds you in good health and doing well overall.  I am happy to report that our Covid numbers are way down in the school.  While we have a small handful of students on quarantine, these are believed to be due to positive exposures in their personal lives and not positive cases within our building. I strongly believe our protocols are working, and we are very fortunate to have had such good weather where we can continue eating our meals outside. I continue to ask all of us to be safe and cautious in our daily lives in an effort to keep our school healthy and open.

In addition, I also want to remind everyone that this weekend is Daylight Savings Time. We push our clocks back one hour.  Please be mindful of this come Monday morning.

Have a great weekend!

Mask reminder

Students should come to school wearing a mask and it’s helpful if students can keep a spare mask (or 2) in their backpacks.  We have been handing out ~50 masks daily to students that have not been coming to school with a mask or have had their masks break during recess/class.  Your support with this effort would be greatly appreciated!

New Visitor Check-in system

If you are volunteering or otherwise on the Park Hill campus as a visitor you will be asked for your drivers license as a part of our campus safety.  We have a new screening software system that checks visitors against a database of known offenders.  Volunteers will still need to submit a copy of their COVID vaccine cards to and register with DPS here.

School Pictures Retakes

Lifetouch will return to Park Hill next Friday, November 12th for retakes.  If your child missed their picture day earlier this month or you would like to get retakes, please mark down the retake date.  Children who would like a retake will need to return their original pictures on the day of the retakes.  Order forms went home with children earlier this week.

Art Classroom Fundraiser

The Original Works Art Fundraising Brochure with a photo of your child’s self portrait was sent home this week.  Your child’s original artwork will be coming home in November. If you would like to order, the instructions for ordering are on the back of the brochure. Profits from this fundraiser will be used for a new kiln for the art room!
