A message below from one of Park Hill’s student leaders highlighting the efforts our students are taking to make Park Hill a more Inclusive and Understanding place:
Meet No Place for Hate!
NPFH is a student led committee comprised of 4th and 5th graders! We have decided to make our school a part of the No Place For Hate foundation with the goal of creating a better community and school for students. Our kindness campaign is part of that goal. Over the next three weeks, grades 3-5 will have two types of what we’re calling kindness tickets. One is to record a kind act you see someone else doing and the other is to record a kind act you did at home. Once they finish their kindness tickets, they’ll go in a special jar designed by the committee for their classroom. Various random prizes will be handed out from your class jar, and everyday a kind quote will be said over the loudspeakers! As for the lil’ ones, ECE – 2nd, they only have one ticket where they circle a picture of what they saw someone else doing at school. That is the only difference between them and the older grades. I hope this paragraph was informative. Keep being kind!!

Need for spare Boys Pants
If you have any spare Boys’ Pants (of all sizes for ECE-5th grade students), we have run completely out. We use these for accidents or when kids get wet or muddy on the playground. We do not have a need for any Girls pants/leggings at this time.
Do you like fresh eggs? Park Hill Chicken Coop Co-Op needs volunteers!
The Park Hill Chicken Coop Co-op, located in the garden at Park Hill Elementary, is in need of 3-4 new families to volunteer to care for our chickens. The commitment is one day a week and the rotations are two-months. The responsibilities are light (AM/PM check-in), there is no membership fee and you get to keep the fresh eggs! If you’ve ever considered having a coop of your own, this is a great way to learn the tricks of the trade and get your dose of country in the city, while avoiding chicken poop in your own backyard. There’s also a great team of volunteers to back you up if you help or if you need to miss a volunteer day. Interested families should contact Ali Mickelson @ firstname.lastname@example.org. Background check through DPS is required. Don’t be a chicken – join the coop group today!
Mark Your Calendars
Please note there will be no school on February 21-22, 2022 for President’s Day weekend. This will be a 4 day weekend, so plan your childcare accordingly.
